REACTION OF 2-NAPHTHOL WITH γ-UREIDOACETALS AS A NOVEL METHOD OF SYNTHESIS OF 2-ARYLPYRROLIDINES

Abstract


A new one-step method of the synthesis of 2-arylpyrrolidines was developed. It is based on the acid-catalysed reaction of 2-naphthol with γ-ureidoacetals, which allows to obtain the target compounds under mild conditions and does not require the use of expensive reagents and catalysts.
