SYNTHESIS OF PYRIDO[1,2-a][1,3,5]TRIAZINE DERIVATIVES BY AMINOMETHYLATION OF 6-AMINO-4-ARYL-2-OXO-1,2-DIHYDROPYRIDINE-3,5-DICARBONITRILES

Abstract


The aminomethylation of 6-amino-4-aryl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarbonitriles with primary amines and an excess of formaldehyde leads to 3-R-8-aryl-6-oxo-1,3,4,6-tetrahydro-2Н-pyrido[1,2-а][1,3,5]triazine-7,9-dicarbonitriles. The structure of 6-oxo-3,8-diphenyl-1,3,4,6-tetrahydro-2Н-pyrido[1,2-а][1,3,5]triazine-7,9-dicarbonitrile was studied by X-Ray analysis.
