Abstract

Methods have been developed for the preparation of amino, alkoxy, and alkylsulfanyl derivatives of cyclopenta[4',5']pyrido[3',2':4,5]thieno[3,2-d]pyrimidines and pyrimido[5',4':2,3]thieno[2,3-c]isoquinolines by the nucleophilic substitution of the 4-chloro derivatives of condensed pyrimidines.
