Abstract

Hetaryldiformazanes have been prepared for the first time as the result of autooxidation of dihydrazones formed in the reaction of bis(arylhydrazones) of S,S'-(1,3,4-thiadiazol-2,5-diyl)bis(mercaptoacetic) or ‑(2‑mercaptopropionic) acid with 2-hydrazinobenzothiazole. Some structural characteristics of these diformazanes were confirmed by IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy.
