Abstract

We describe the synthesis of N-ethoxycarbonyl-, N-tert-butoxycarbonyl-, and N-acetyl-3-iodo-5-methyl-1,2,3,3a,4,8b-hexahydrocyclopenta[b]indoles, as well as N-acetyl-3-iodo-5-methyl-7-nitro- and N-acetyl-3-iodo-7-methyl-5-nitro-1,2,3,3a,4,8b-hexahydrocyclopenta[b]indoles.
