Abstract

β-Ketoacids reacted with 4-(trifluoromethyl)pyrimidin-2(1Н)-ones according to the mechanism of Michael addition–decarboxylation, forming 4-(2-oxoalkyl)-6-(trifluoromethyl)-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2-ones.
