Abstract

Pyrido[1,2-b][1,2,4]triazines have been synthesized in good to excellent yields by condensation reaction between 1,6-diamino-2-oxo-4phenyl-1,2-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarbonitriles and arylglyoxals in the presence of boric acid. The synthesized compounds have considerable red light emission in 650 nm range.
