Abstract

An effective approach to the synthesis of the first examples of novel ring systems 11H-chromeno[3',2':3,4]pyrrolo[2,1-b][1,3]thiazol-11-one and 13H-chromeno[3',2':3.4]pyrrolo[2,1-b][1,3]benzothiazol-13-one via intramolecular cyclization of 3-[1,3-(benzo)thiazol-2-yl]-2-chloromethylchromones has been developed.
