Abstract

A series of novel thienopyridazine derivatives has been synthesized using 9-aminodibenzo[f,h]thieno[2,3-c]cinnoline-8-carbonitrile as starting material. The target products exhibit promising antibacterial and antifungal properties against bacterial strains E. coli, S. aureus, B. subtilis, and K. pneumoniae and fungal strains A. fumigatus and C. albicans. The highest antimicrobial activity against all tested
microorganisms demonstrate pyridothienocinnoline derivatives.
