DIALKYL (2-OXOPROPYL)PHOSPHONATES IN THE SYNTHESIS OF PHOSPHORYLATED HETEROCYCLES

Abstract
This minireview summarizes data on the use of dialkyl (2-oxopropyl)phosphonates in the synthesis of phosphorylated heterocycles. Convenient methods for the synthesis of reagents and examples of their use in the Paal–Knorr, Dimroth, Gewald, Knoevenagel–Fries, Fischer, Friedländer, and Beirut reactions are analyzed.
