Abstract

Vilsmeier formylation of 1,3-dialkylperimidones, 1,3-dialkyl-2,3-dihydroperimidines, and 2-trifluoromethyl-perimidines is performed. The 1H NMR spectra of the resulting mono- and dialdehydes are discussed.
