Abstract

The minireview summarizes published data on the methods of synthesis of chromeno[2,3-b]chromenes, their benzo analogs, as well as partially hydrogenated and oxidized derivatives. Due to the paucity of methods for the synthesis of these heterocycles, the lack of reviews on this topic, as well as the ever-increasing importance of chromeno[2,3-b]chromenes in biomedicinal chemistry, all information that could be found in the literature is presented.
