Abstract

Ditopic ligand with coordination centers of different types was synthesized. Ligand contains 1,10-phenanthroline fragment for Ru(II) coordination and azadithiacrown ether moiety for Cu(II) cation binding. At first step, new ruthenium complex was synthesized and then its complexation with Cu(II) perchlorate was studied by optical and electrochemical means. The complex obtained in this work represents a rare type of bimetallic complexes, in which both cations are located in one ligand system, but their effect on each other is measurable.
