Abstract

A method has been optimized for the condensation of ethylenedinitroamine with aliphatic amines and formalaldehyde, leading to the formation of 3-alkyl-1,5-dinitro-1,3,5-triazepanes. The structure of the obtained 1,3,5-triazepanes was studied by multinuclear NMR and X-ray structural analysis.
