Abstract

The review is devoted to the chemistry of heterocyclic compounds and the use of nonclassical methods of activation of chemical reactions in the State Scientific Institution "Institute for Single Crystals" of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine from the late 90s to the present. The review covers both the history of the establishment and development of the corresponding Department and themain  scientific results of its work in various fields of modern chemistry, focusing, in particular, on the application of the condition-based divergence strategy and the concept of multicomponent-switched reactions.

Keywords

heterocycle; condition-based divergence strategy; diversity-oriented synthesis; microwave-assisted synthesis; multicomponent reaction; multicomponent-switched reaction; ultrasonication
