4-HYDROXY-2-QUINOLONES. 221.* SYNTHESIS, STRUCTURE, AND BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF 3-(3-(ALKYLCARBAMOYL-4-HYDROXY-2-OXO-1,2-DIHYDROQUINOLIN-1-YL)PROPANOIC ACIDS

Abstract

A simple method is proposed and used for preparing a series of 3-(3-alkylcarbamoyl-4-hydroxy-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinolin-1-yl)propanoic acids. A comparative analysis was carried out on the analgesic and diuretic properties of these compounds and their synthetic precursors, namely, the corresponding 1-(2-cyanoethyl)-4‑hydroxy-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxamides.
