Thematic issue "Synthesis and transformations of heterocycles via pseudocyclic reactions"

In 2025 the journal "Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds" will publish a thematic issue "Synthesis and transformations of heterocycles via pseudocyclic reactions"

It is generally known, that different-type cycloaddition processes are most universal and most regio- and stereoselective methodology for the preparation of three-, four-, five-, six- and seven-membered heterocycles. All of these reaction earlier were defined as “pericyclic” processes, according to actual state of knowledge are considered as pseudocyclic reactions. In analogous group of chemical transformation are also other processes, useful for the preparation and modification of heterocyclic structures such as electrocyclic reactions, sigmatropic rearrangements, thermal eliminations and oxidation with the participation of peroxyacids. This thematic issue is dedicated to the presentation of the new, important discoveries explaining the progress in mentioned area. These presentation can regard to full synthetic approach, as well as kinetic studies and theoretical modeling of reaction selectivity and mechanisms. Comprehensive works including experimental and quantumchemical studies are also welcome.

This Issue will include microreviews "Heterocycles in Focus", mini-reviews, regular reviews, and experimental articles (letters to the Editor and regular articles).
