Abstract

4-Alkoxy-N-{4-[5,6-dihydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)methyloxy]phenylcarbomoylmethyloxybenzylidene}anilines are synthesized. They exhibit properties of smectic and nematic liquid crystals.
