Abstract

Some 4-N-R-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinoline‑3-carboxylic acids and their derivatives were synthesized as close structural analogs of the highly‑active analgesic 4-benzylamino-2-oxo-1,2-dihydro-quinolinecarboxylic acid. Pharmacological testing showed that manifestation of an analgesic effect depends on the presence of a carboxylic group and benzyl fragment in these molecules.
