Abstract

Phenazine and its derivatives are of interest in medicinal chemistry and modern pharmacology as promising drugs for antibiotic therapy. This is of special importance in light of the observed antibiotic resistance in pathogenic microorganisms. This review presents the principal methods for the synthesis of derivatives of phenazine, including its biologically active tandem conjugates published over the past 10 years.
