Abstract

Boron difluoride hydrazone (BODIHY) dyes possess a number of features such as an increase of emission upon the transition from solution to the solid state. In the development of such dyes, not only the synthesis of more complex structures, but also the search for new substrates is important. This review summarizes studies published mainly over the last 7–9 years, not included in the reviews of 20201, 20212, and 20233, as well as the latest studies devoted to the syntheses of BODIHY dyes of various architectures containing a pyridine or azole fragment.
