THE SYNTHESIS OF 2-CHLORONICOTINONITRILE (2-CHLOROPYRIDINE-3-CARBONITRILE) DERIVATIVES

Abstract

This microreview presents methods of synthesis of 2-chloronicotinonitrile derivatives published in 2017–2023. Depending on the synthons that form the target structure, four approaches can be distinguished: synthesis via nicotinonitrile or
2-chloropyridine derivatives, as well as reactions of constructing the pyridine ring from malononitrile or polycyano compounds.
