Abstract

This microreview focuses exclusively on the synthetic methodologies for 3-fluorochromones, highlighting their unique pharmacophoric properties that arise from the combination of the chromone core with a fluorine atom. Although 3-fluorochromones have been studied extensively, their presence in the literature is still relatively limited. This review offers a detailed exploration of the existing research, following the progression of synthetic methods from the earliest strategies to the most recent innovations in the field.
