RECENT APPROACHES FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF PHOSPHONOPYRROLES

Abstract

Phosphonopyrroles are an important class of heterocyclic compounds with outstanding applications in many fields, especially in medicinal chemistry. This microreview aims to describe a selection of the latest most important strategies developed for the synthesis of phosphonopyrrole derivatives which can be gathered into two main subclasses, namely, 2- and 3-phosphonopyrroles, depending on the site of substitution of the pyrrole ring.
