Abstract

O,S-Disubstituted xanthogenates (dithiocarbonates) are a readily available class of compounds that has found synthetic use in modification of carbo- and heterocyclic compounds under the conditions of radical substitution or addition reactions. Among the advantages of the method are the simplicity of synthetic procedure, which does not require an inert atmosphere, its scalability, neutral conditions suitable for labile substrates, and the straightforward isolation of reaction products.
