Abstract

This mini-review explores recent advances in the application of cobalt-based catalysts, which are considered cost-effective and earth-abundant alternatives to noble metals, in carbon–boron bond-forming transformations. Particular attention is paid to systems with oxazoline-based ligands, which have demonstrated high activity and selectivity in hydroboration reactions. The data summarized here highligt the potential of these coordination complexes for further rational ligand design based on oxazoline frameworks, paving the way for their wider application in fine organic synthesis.
