Iodocyclization of 2-allythio-4(3H)-pyrimidinones
Abstract
It has been established that the iodocyclization of 2-allythio-4-(3H)-pyrimidinones occurs at the N(1) nitrogen atom with the formation of 3-iodomethyl-7-oxo-2,3-dihydro-8H-thiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidinium iodides and triiodides.
