Diazotization of the amino group of 3-amino-4,6-dimethylpyrazolo[3,4-b]pyrimidines and subsequent replacement of the diazo group in the formed diazonium chlorides by an azide group gave the corresponding 3-azido derivatives. Their reactions with active methylene compounds have been studied. Substitution of the diazo group by a sulfo group gave the related 4,6-dimethylpyrazolo-[3,4-b]pyridyl-3-sulfonyl chlorides and sulfonylamides. How to Cite
