Abstract

Cinnamaldehyde, a versatile and naturally occurring organic compound, has garnered significant attention as a key building block in the synthesis of polycyclic fused heterocycles via multicomponent reactions. The review highlights recent advancements in multicomponent reactions involving cinnamaldehyde paving the way for innovative approaches in constructing polycyclic fused heterocyclic compounds.
