Abstract

Benzo[f]indole-4,9-diones represent a fascinating class of organic compounds with substantial potential in medicinal chemistry owing to their unique structures and diverse biological activities. Traditional methods for synthesizing these compounds are often time-consuming and involve multiple steps. However, the application of multicomponent reactions has revolutionized their synthesis, making the process more efficient and straightforward. This report presents recent advancements in the synthesis of benzo[f]indole-4,9-dione derivatives using multicomponent reactions.
