Abstract

Novel 5-(polyfluoroalkyl)-1,3-thiazolidines were synthesized by the reaction of polyfluoroalkanethiocarboxylic acid derivatives with azomethine ylide, generated in situ via acid-catalyzed desilylation of N-benzyl-N-(methoxymethyl)-N-[(trimethylsilyl)methyl]amine.
