Abstract

3-Azido-4,6-diarylthienopyridines obtained from the corresponding 3-amino derivatives are convenient precursors in the synthesis of the peri-annulated heterocyclic system, benzo(furo,thieno)[c]thieno[2,3,4-i,j]-2,7-naphthyridines. The spectral characteristics of the obtained compounds (IR, UV, NMR (1H, 13C, 1H–15N gHMBC) spectra, luminescence spectra, mass spectra) were studied. Computational prediction of potential biological action has been performed.
