Аннотация

The review summarizes and systematizes original reports on targeted structural modification and some aspects of biomedical and materials science applications of halogen-containing pyrrole-2-carbaldehydes published between 2000 and 2024. The chemical behavior of the analyzed compounds is classified according to the type of reaction center transformations. The synthetic transformations involving an aldehyde group, halogen atoms, NH group, and their combinations are highlighted. The review bibliography includes 41 references.
